His posture and barely concealed expression suggest quiet triumph: act like you belong, look like a real crook, and nobody will question you.
Behind him hangs the real joke. Where the masterpiece once belonged, the thief has left an outrageously terrible imitation: crooked lines, ridiculous proportions, confused shapes, and gloriously incompatible colors.
