ArtistAn office in a cicular tower room with vaulted windows on all sides. Between two of the windows a black tapestry with a large, blood-red pentagram embroidered on it. In the center of the room a large and elegant desk made of ebony with ivory insets, laden with stacks of parchment and leather-bound books. Behind the desk a sumptuous wing chair made of ebony with black velvet cushions embroidered with tiny gold pentagrams. Against the wall, a cabinet made of mahogany with gold leaf decorations. One of the cabinet doors is open and scrolls of parchmet spill out. Notos, an anthropomorphic white-backed vulture in shabby black robes. Agatha, an anthropomorphic German spaniel with uniform glossy reddish-brown fur that shimmers in the light. Agatha wears an elegant dark green dress and carries a brown leather bag on her right side with the strap of the bag draped over Agatha's left shoulder. Agatha holds a staff made of ebony with a ruby inset at the top. Flint, an anthropomorphic red fox wearing a brown cowl fastened with a black cord. Flint holds a staff made of red oak with an axinite gemstone inset at the top. Notos holds the black tapestry aside to reveal the wall behind. A stone in the middle of the wall glows a mysterious blue color. Agatha touches the stone with the tip of the staff she holds.
They bring the staff to the office and touch its tip to the stone. The stone begins to glow with a mysterious blue light, then it slides forward and reveals a compartment which contains the Archmage's most personal notes on members of the school. They discover that there are around fifty evil mages in total, way more than they had expected. They have already apprehended around a dozen, when they took the school. The others are off on various missions to cause mischief and create chaos. They decide to send messages to the kingdoms affected to warn them of these miscreants.
Interestingly, they discover little concerning the Archmage himself. His identity is not recorded, nor can they find any hints of where he came from. But they do discover that he killed the previous Archmage before seizing the position as Archmage for himself. He lived in constant fear that someone would likewise overthrow him. He kept extensive notes on the few he deemed dangerous enough to attempt it. There were five he was particularly concerned about: Lord Laverno, Crocknaton and three others.
All in all our heroes now know that there is a lot of work still ahead of them. They must warn all kingdoms of the terrible fiends still at large and work hard to catch as many of them as possible. With the knowledge that the whole world depends on their success, our heroes ready themselves for new adventures.
