The Archmage of Necromancy feels he has no choice. He meant to wait until midnight, when the forces of Necromancy are strongest. But now, with an army at his gates, he must perform the ritual immediately. As he rushes down to the Chamber of Rituals, he muses about how his seers could have been so blind as to not see an entire army approach his domain. Had he not explicitly ordered them not to leave their crystal balls until the ritual was completed? Had they fallen asleep at their posts? Are there more traitors among their ranks? He does not have time now, but later, when the most immediate problem of the joint armies of the Animal World and their infamous leader, this vile canine Dogula who stubbornly refuses to serve the forces of Darkness, has been dealt with, they will be suitably punished.
