Tracy Mills was born Tracy Mills. But her family properly identified her as a male based on her biological profile. It wasn’t long, however, before they realized Tracy’s behaviors gravitated toward most things society would recognize as feminine. Her parents had difficulties understanding but they sought outside help and eventually accepted Tracy as a girl. Tracy, now a popular news woman in town, never had to waver — she was a woman — not even really a transgender woman — simply a woman. Today she supports transgender causes mostly by being herself, being open, being forthright — and mainly, by being a woman.
