Artist statement
Inspired by the amazing on-air talent Carol Schrader, a news anchor in Omaha from the late 70s to the mid-90s and later moving to PBS for many years. Carol has the combination of intelligence, work ethic, graciousness, warmth and outside-the-box Beauty. My current dreams evolve from my concepts of her essence but obviously do not represent the real Carol but rather are just a jumping off point using Carol as my muse. They are wholly my fantasies which include themes of power, competition, lust, femininity, masculinity, transgender, humor, slapstick, entertainment and various role playing. I temper some of my fantasies to stay within the guidelines here but even outside those guidelines my fantasies are always carried out fully aware that they are purely fantasies which allow for an ongoing exploration of playful expression.
