The Queen of Moonlight, originally a devoted human priestess, shared a unique bond with the Moon Goddess. Concerned by the goddess's weakening during the waning moon, the priestess sought a way to help. She learned that a human could bear this burden, enduring a monthly cycle of death and rebirth tied to the amount of moonlight visible on a given night. Embracing this sacrifice, the priestess now undergoes this cycle of birth, childhood, maturity, aging, and death thirteen times a year, while the Moon Goddess remains at her full strength. In gratitude, the goddess elevated her to a celestial being, making her immortal and immensely powerful, even in her weakest state, immensely more powerful than any human and even surpassing most other lesser spirits. On her ascension, she was named Queen of Moonlight.
