I came to wonder since when we hide and why we do so.
Reasons are plenty. Playing hide and seek can be very fun, hide because we fear someone or something definitely different. Hide because of shame is also rather negative.
In one of the oldest books, a man and a woman hid from God who made them, because they were were ashamed and afraid of God. But he found them anyway.
I'm glad that I don't need to hide to survive... This is something no one wants to do and yet is currently very common in some countries (whether president, dissident, or just fighter). And yet we all hide something (for private reasons). It's amazing though to think that - if there really is a God that created all things and love us all - it would not much make a difference to him if we hide or not.
