Prompt: Nontok is a minor character in the Ramakien, and his story is not given much attention. However, he is an interesting example of the hierarchical nature of Thai society. As an ogre, Nontok is considered to be a low-status being, and he is forced to serve the devas. This reflects the belief that those who are of lower social status are obligated to serve those who are of higher status.
Despite his lowly status, Nontok is a loyal and hardworking servant. He never complains about his duties, and he always completes them to the best of his ability. This makes him a somewhat sympathetic character, even though he is not a major figure in the story.
