A heretofore unknown inhabitant of Pluto protests its reduction to dwarf planet status; the figure is a humanoid Siberian salamander hybrid with greenish brown skin, golden eyes, and a covering of long hair over the top of its head. The hair stands out frozen in a corona of refracted color around the head; the figure stands on two of its legs, while four hands of six fingers and a thumb with very long very red nails hold a protest sign that says, "Pluto IS a planet", behind her is the dark cold, icy terrain of Pluto and deep space
So... Pluto is a very very cold PLANET. (And I like imagining cold things right now.) In contemplating what might inhabit such a planet, I thought of those rare amphibians who can survive long deep-freezes here on earth because their bodies produce chemicals that are a kind of antifreeze. And given the range of microbiomes here on this planet that live in deep cold environments, chemical soups, deep see vents, and evolved right along with us as part of our own bodies, I figured why not pattern this local Plutonian after the Siberian salamander and us? Also I read there is speculation that Pluto might have a liquid water layer deep underneath the surface, so maybe that's where the true ecosystem is.
But mostly I just needed a Plutonian to be insulted that the PLANET Pluto had been downgraded and removed from the list of "Planets in the Solar System"
