The Adventures of Arthur & the Teddy Bear: The Fearn Flowers #5
The path ran through the complete darkness of the forest, the air smelled of damp earth and pine needles, and the only light came from the flickering flame of a kerosene lamp. Nothing could be seen except the bright lights of the eyes of the magical forest inhabitants. Arthur and Teddy Bear kept walking along this mysterious forest path, trying not to provoke the strange forest creatures. Although, it seems, the forest cats were just curious about who it was that visited them. Suddenly, in the distance, they saw some enlightenment.
"Maybe this is the end of the forest at last?" - Arthur was excited.
"I really hope so!" - said Teddy Bear.
They headed toward the bright glow that finally cut through the pitch black. But the closer they got, the more they realized that it was not the edge of the forest, but something completely different. An enchanting forest glade stretched out before them, illuminated by ethereal light. It shimmered with millions of shades and looked like a meadow, but in the middle of dense tree crowns, where it seemed that even the sun's rays had never reached. Arthur's breath caught in his throat when he saw a sight that went beyond comprehension.
"Teddy Bear, look how beautiful it is," he said spellbound. "These flowers glow like lanterns. I've never seen anything like them in my life."
"They look a bit like the plants your mom grows in the garden," said Teddy Bear.
"Indeed, Teddy Bear, these green and blue leaves look like ferns, which my mom loves very much. But she always told me that ferns don't bloom."
"And what about the story your Aunt Lucia likes to tell that one summer day it is possible to find a fern flower? 'Whoever finds that flower will have all his wishes fulfilled. He will find treasures hidden in the most secret places. He will have happiness, good fortune. He will not be afraid of evil spirits or diseases. ' But no matter how many have tried, nobody has ever found that flower."
"Do you really think...? It's true! These are fern flowers! My mom will be so happy when we bring her here and show her this beauty," Arthur said enthusiastically.
"Yes, we will. There's just one small problem: have you figured out how to get out of here?" said Teddy Bear skeptically.
"Not yet, but we'll definitely figure something out," Arthur replied with enthusiasm.
