ArtistFirst-person POV of a female sitting in an antique, clean white porcelain bathtub half-filled with soapy water, hands resting on the worn edges. From outside the bathtub, a few eerie tentacles are creeping over the edge into the tub, approaching the bathing person, and beginning to wind around her wrists and legs. A candle-lit vanity table at the opposite wall. Dramatic chiaroscuro lighting from a single high ceiling skylight casting deep, heavy shadows. Moody, atmospheric oil painting style with thick impasto brushstrokes, dark and desaturated colour palette, suspenseful, masterpiece.
Many thanks to @JKW and @Amstel for the dark bath POV inspiration!
When I saw your dark bath dreams, I knew I had to try this. I just extended Amstel's original prompt a bit...
I'm still wondering why someone would take a bath in such a room at all...
According to my "Public Restroom Vibes" series with which I started publishing on DDG, I'd say it might be a deliberate search for the Unknown, guided by a vague feeling that it isn't as hostile as we often use to think... 🐙😉

First person POV of a person sitting in a bathtub inside of a dark, eerie room with dark, scaly tentacles wrapped around the person's arms and legs. The water in the tub is murky and dark. A shaft of light from a skylight illuminates the center of the room, lighting up an ornate mirror with a mantle below it. There is a painting in the upper left corner and a cloth hanging in the upper right.
