Because of the forthcoming European Web situation (lol), ::SHE+ILA:: Website will no longer be available. We are in process of setting up a FTP server, where you may download (free of charge) the ::SHE+ILA:: compiler/assembler/editor (SheilASM) and operating system as available, and selected Segs as I release them :)
::SHE+ILA:: is a homebrew retro operating system and programming language, based on a mashup of C++, APL, and Lisp. It consists of a datastore (SHE -- Segmented Hierarchical Environment) and a datapath (ILA -- Interactive Language Architecture). It runs on 32bit (NOT 64bit as they do NOT support segmentation in hardware) 80x86 PC's. such as the Pentium and its children; and there is also an Apple ][ version using a page size of 8K (rather than 64K). For antivirus reasons, source code is supplied, which you must sysgen (compile) with an appropriate assembler (MASM, TASM, A86) or directly in SheilASM. It boots directly from floppy or a HDD partition, using its own memory manager (SHE), and thus will NOT run under EMM386, Himem.sys, QEMM386, or any version of MS-Windows. It is NOT Linux based, but a freshly-developed virtual-storage and virtual-machine operating system.
