ArtistAn Atari 1040 colputer, with monitor and hard disk.
For the game (Myst) see my previous picture :) No. this is the Atari ST (sixteen thirtytwo) which used the Motorola 68000 CPU (inspired by the PDP11 instruction set). Well it was my dad's actually, I inherited it when he died in 1991. He'd bought a load of peripherals for it too, including an external SCSI hard drive (which unfortunately failed with a stiction fault (where the head gets stuck to the surface of the disk)). And a lot of shareware games. He also bought a lot of other micros, such as the 6502 based BBC. Unfortunately he never really learned to program them. A heuristic usage for the incoming pension I suppose :) Mine was fashionwear -- I bought loads of kaftans, boho skirts, and shoes, lol (I already had enough computers) after I retired. Now it's plushies and DVD's (I gave up on music CD's after I got attacked by the Sony Trojan, and would never buy another Sony product). In the end the Atari 1040 got recycled at the local PC World shop, and the floppies reformatted for use in my PC (but then there isn't an adventure game called Mypc is there, lol) :)
