But as we study the periodic table, we must remember that it is only a small piece of the greater whole that God has created.

In Colossians 1:16-17, we read, "For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." This passage reminds us that all things, including the elements of the periodic table, were created by God and are sustained by his power.

As scientists, we must be humble and recognize that our understanding of the natural world is limited. We may uncover the secrets of the periodic table, but we must remember that there is an even greater force at work in the universe.
