As followers of Christ, our deepest desire should be to become vessels that are filled with God's glory and power. We were created by God to bring Him honor and to be conduits of His divine purposes in the world.
In 2 Timothy 2:20-21, the apostle Paul wrote: "In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work."
Just as a physical vessel can only contain what it is designed to hold, we too must prepare ourselves to be filled with God's Spirit. This means emptying ourselves of pride, selfishness, and anything that would hinder the Holy Spirit's work within us. As we humble ourselves and surrender our lives to Christ, He will purify us and make us holy vessels, useful for His eternal plans.
When we become vessels of God's glory, we are empowered to do great things for His kingdom. We are positioned to be conduits of His love, grace, and transformative power to a lost and hurting world. Our lives become a living testimony to the majesty and might of our God.
