This Queen of Witches has mounted her pendant of ruby and red diamond to her ruby crown, so that the pendant can amplify the powers of her third eye / ajna / pineal gland. This type of pendant magic has a long and storied role in the history of magic and a significant place in several magical traditions, although any witch of sufficient strength and skill can acquire the powers involved.

NOTE that this magical use of pendants (with or without gemstones) is completely unrelated to the tiny englamoring jewel worn on the forehead and used to hide one's true appearance.
