When the rain starts to fall, it can be easy to feel discouraged and disheartened. We may feel like the storm will never end and that the sun will never shine again. But as followers of Christ, we are called to trust in God even when it rains.
In the Bible, we see many examples of people who faced storms and trials but continued to trust in God. Noah trusted God and built an ark even though it had never rained before. Job trusted God even when he lost everything he had. And Jesus himself trusted God even as he faced the cross.
Trusting in God during the storms of life means acknowledging that he is in control, even when we don't understand what is happening. It means believing that he is good and that he has a plan for our lives, even when things seem to be falling apart.
In Isaiah 43:2, God promises, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." This verse reminds us that God is always with us, even in the midst of the storm.
So when the rain starts to fall, let us choose to trust in God. Let us remember that he is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). And let us hold onto the hope that one day, the sun will shine again and the storm will pass.
