More about 7: intermediate image for a bard NPC in my D&D campaign

(struggles with the fringe, the saga continues)

So, as you can see I changed which AI model I was using, and managed to get a halfway decent looking belt with a fringe. Which was entirely the wrong color, and some of my other decorative elements had vanished. But I knew how to put them back, and I thought that recoloring that damn fringe would be easy now that I had something decent looking actually in the image.

But, of course, every time I tried to tell it to change the color, it would completely redo the belt and fringe, too. Damned if I can figure out how to tell the bloody AI to change the color and leave the rest of it alone.

I was willing to accept the minor change of appearance in the face, and a lot of the rest was details that just required me to blow some more energy and sanity points redoing the finicky editing I had already done. And she was now standing in the darkness of the grove with the moon lighting the sky above her.

Remember I said the necklace had vanished, and I figured I'd just put it back? Silly me. This is about where I found out the true horror of the situation. I couldn't change the color of the fringe without weird things happening to the dress, or entirely changing the fringe. The necklace would do unpredictable things. If I recolored the dress, it might go sheer and completely change away from the pleasing cut I already had.

I finally threw up my hands and decided 'good enough', and for the most part just left my crude mockup of the simple fringe made of nothing but some tiny copper chains to be tied on top of whatever skirt she chose to wear to the grove. I would have been quite happy with the fringe as depicted in this image if only it were the right color.
