Bronwyn Brunet, aka "Wynni" to her family and old-time friends AND aka "BB" by her colleagues from her Space Navy days up to her present as a ship's pilot in the Human Exploration Initiative (HEI). Her story is long and complicated, but she had been Activated for seven years, working as a shuttle pilot when The Emancipation was declared for Artificial Persons, establishing their status as human beings. She applied three times to the Space Navy before being accepted.

It's considered impolite to point it out, but when you see a person with skin as flawless - and poreless - as hers is, the person might be an artificial person. Then again, it might be a person using artificial skin as a cosmetic solution to some significant skin damage. Then, too, there are those who want to change their appearance for some personal reason, and those criminals who suddenly find themselves needing a new face.
