As Christians, we are called to be generous and to give to those who are in need. In Luke 6:38, Jesus says, "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
When we give, we can have confidence that God sees our generosity and that he has already prepared rewards for us. It's important to remember that these rewards may not necessarily be material possessions or financial blessings, but they can include blessings such as peace, joy, and contentment that come from following God's will.
Moreover, when we give to others, we are reflecting God's love and generosity towards us. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, it says, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." When we give with a cheerful heart, we are showing others the love of God and the joy that comes from following him.
As we seek to be generous and to give to others, let us remember that our ultimate reward is not in this world, but in heaven. In Matthew 6:19-21, Jesus says, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
May we continually seek to give generously and to store up treasures in heaven, knowing that our Father God sees our giving and has already prepared rewards for us. And may our giving be a reflection of the love and generosity that we have received from Him.
