The Adventures of Arthur & the Teddy Bear: Wonderful Day / #02
One beautiful sunny day, Arthur was playing in the yard of his home and didn't even realize that this particular day was very special.
"Arthur, is something wrong?" asked Teddy Bear, pointing to Arthur's embarrassed mother.
"You mean my mom? She's a little worried because our cat, Barefoot, has gone missing and hasn't been back for a while. And she's busy with the housework and can't get around to going to look for him."
"Barefoot!? Who gives such names to cats?" Teddy Bear was very surprised.
"Well, our neighbor, Mr. Bouguer, named him that way. Our cat is all black and has only a white spot on his face and white paw tips, as if he had taken off his socks. That's why he was named Barefoot."
"Still a strange name for a cat, I think!"
"Teddy Bear, what if we go and look for Barefoot? Mommy doesn't have time, but we'll help her."
"Do you know where he might have gone?"
"I think Barefoot ran to the forester's hut, the one near the forest. It must be full of mice, so he went to catch them"
"But Mommy forbids you to go into the forest alone," said Teddy Bear.
"So... we won't tell her that." Arthur said mysteriously. "I'll just say that we're going to see if he hasn't gone to Aunt Lucy's, and from there it's not far to the forester's house."
"Oh, I don't like this," Teddy Bear muttered, realizing that it was inevitable that Arthur would drag him along anyway.
To be continued...
Beginning in previous dreams.
