ArtistA mideaval storehouse on a cobble-stoned street with timber-framed houses on either side. The storehouse's large, reinforced metal double doors are thrown wide open and one of them is hanging off of its lower hinge. Tennis balls are spilling out of the storehouse. More tennis balls are strewn along the street. An anthropomorphic malinois in a blue guard uniform and with a sword in its belt, wrings its paws while looking at the tennis balls in the street. An anthropomorphic german spaniel stands on its hind legs observing the damage. The anthropomorphic german spaniel wears an elegant dark green dress. The anthropomorphic german spaniel has uniform glossy reddish-brown fur that shimmers in the light. Next to the german spaniel, an anthropomorphic transylvanian hound stands on his hind legs. The anthropomorphic transylvanian hound wears black robes and a black cloak with a high collar and prominently shows his long canines protruding past his lower lip.
Agatha Misty prides herself in her thoroughness. She starts her journey by insepcting the crime scene and interviewing the guard on duty that day. Lord Dogula has kindly offered to accompany her, since he is more familiar with the administrative affairs of Caninia than Agatha Misty is.
Agatha Misty inspected every part of the store house with her magnifying glass. But in spite of all her efforts she could not find a single paw-print. Whoever stole the tennis balls must have been wearing gloves. Agatha Misty also discovers that the intruders broke open the doors using some kind of heavy tool to break the metal hinges of the door. Finally, her interview with the guard revealed that the fiends must have been observing the store room for some time, because they chose the exact moment when the guard had gone to visit a private lamp-post to strike.
