A recurring issue is creating banners and getting them, where they are supposed to be. Nowadays some variation such as 'red banner with the emblem of a black cat with emerald eyes ' will usually work, but I had to find this out through trial and error. I just though I would share this information. Also, I meant for the figurehead to be under the bow of the vessel. But I guess still need to work on that.
