Isaiah 41:18 says, "I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs." This verse provides a beautiful picture of God's ability to bring life to barren landscapes. It reminds us that there is nothing too difficult for God to do, and he can bring blessings even to the most desolate places.
When we think of building a church, we may envision a lush landscape with a beautiful river flowing nearby. However, sometimes God calls us to build his church in places that seem barren and desolate. It may not be the most ideal location, but we can trust that God has a plan and purpose for it.
As we build a church in such a place, we may feel discouraged and overwhelmed. But Isaiah 41:18 gives us hope that God can turn the barren landscape into a place of abundance. We can trust that if we remain faithful to him and his calling, he will bring blessings and rivers of living water to our church.
In the same way, we can apply this same principle to our personal lives. We may feel like we're in a barren and desolate place, but we can trust that God is able to bring blessings and abundance to our lives. We just need to remain faithful to him and trust in his promises.
As we build our church on a barren landscape, let us remember that God is the source of our strength and the one who can bring rivers of living water to our church and our lives. May we trust in his promises and remain faithful to his calling, knowing that he will bring blessings even to the most desolate of places.
