2 Timothy 1:9 says, "He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time."
This verse reminds us of the amazing grace of God. God has saved us and called us to a holy life, not because of anything we have done, but because of his own purpose and grace. We did not earn our salvation, nor did we deserve it. It was a free gift given to us by God through faith in Jesus Christ.
This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. This means that God had a plan for our salvation even before we were born. He knew us before we were even formed in our mother's womb and had a plan for our lives.
As we reflect on this verse, we are reminded of the incredible love and mercy of our God. It is not because of our own merit that we are saved, but because of his unending love for us. This truth should fill us with gratitude and motivate us to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
Let us remember that we are saved by grace and let us strive to live each day in a way that honors God and reflects his love to those around us.
