I've been captivated by the imagery and thoughts behind the 1941 'Face of War' by Salvador Dali. There's a tension between highlighting the suffering and finding the visual elements to represent it. There's also a real danger in surrealism veering off into parody territory. I've tried direct paths with results of varying promise. In this case, an ACCIDENTAL img2img using a @xymonau - derived steampipe portrait, prompted by the darkness of an @Awaremind romantic-conflict text string in FLUX.1 dev resulted in this image that gets me just a bit closer to Dali's creative intent.
