As Christians, we are called to gather together in fellowship and worship every Sunday. But sometimes, attending church can feel like an obstacle. Maybe we're tired from a busy week, or we have other things we'd rather be doing. But it's important to remember the many benefits of attending church, even when it feels like an obstacle.
In Hebrews 10:24-25, we read, "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." This passage reminds us that gathering together with other believers is a crucial part of our faith journey.
When we attend church, we are surrounded by other believers who can encourage us and lift us up when we're feeling down. We can worship and pray together, share our struggles and triumphs, and learn from one another's experiences. And when we're feeling lost or uncertain, we can turn to the wisdom and guidance of our pastors and other church leaders.
But sometimes, attending church can feel like an obstacle. Maybe we're struggling with anxiety or depression, or we feel like our faith journey is at a standstill. Maybe we're dealing with family issues or financial struggles. Whatever the obstacle may be, it's important to remember that we don't have to face it alone.
In Philippians 4:13, we read, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." When we feel like we can't overcome an obstacle, we can turn to Jesus for strength and guidance. We can pray for His help and guidance, and trust that He will lead us through even the toughest of times.
So when attending church feels like an obstacle, let's remember the many benefits of gathering together with other believers. And let's turn to Jesus for the strength and guidance we need to overcome any obstacle that comes our way.
