This is a portrait of Ava Jane Thrasher, when she came back to her hometown. Shortly after she arrived, this portrait was painted by her high-school best friend A.J. Jones. Ava went to the double-wide hell in the trailer park where she grew up, speaking calmly while the other principals shouted and threatened, alarming the neighbors. As she neighbors listened, Ava's stepfather suddenly screamed "SHE'S BURNING MY FACE ! OH GOD, MY EYES!" Ava walked out of the trailer, her mother pulling at her even when she was getting in her new Porsche.
They said that when the stepfather got to the ER, the docs couldn't account for his sudden pain but that his face seemed fine. That night, the nightmares began for both parents. Within a month, both of them were diagnosed with fast-acting cancers. Within nine months, both were dead.
Ava claimed the bodies for an organic burial at a private location. Since she was a Nurse Practitioner, the coroner agreed.
She and the other strigoi in her coven ate them.
