As Christians, we are called to cultivate intimacy with God. Just as oil is essential for a lamp to burn brightly, intimacy with God is essential for us to shine as lights in this world. But how do we cultivate this oil of intimacy?

We must make time for God. Just as a relationship with a friend or spouse requires time spent together, so does our relationship with God. We must set aside time each day to read His word, pray, and worship Him.

Also, we must be intentional in our pursuit of Him. We cannot expect intimacy with God to just happen. We must actively seek Him and desire to know Him more.

Finally, we must persevere in our pursuit of intimacy with God. It may not always be easy or feel like we are making progress, but as we continue to seek Him, we will grow closer to Him and experience the joy and peace that comes from being in His presence.

May we all cultivate this oil of intimacy with God, so that we may shine brightly for Him in this world.
