Figurative abstract, magical realism, a simple well defined composition which illustrates the spiritual premise: a 'small self' suffers and causes suffering, a love of the living world lets single identities and selfhoods expand and encompass other beings, entities, and whole landscapes, such that the self becomes a spacious thing.

I can never understand why anyone would insist on a monochromatic regimented life over the vibrant energy of diversity, but as I read the book, 'Is A River Alive?' by Robert Macfarlane (2025), I'm introduced to people who understand more about the cause and effect of these choices. Both the title and the prompt come from quotes from that book.
