Proverbs 18:10 says, "The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe." This verse is a powerful reminder of the protection that God provides for His people, and the sense of safety and security that comes from trusting in Him.
In ancient times, a fortified tower was a place of refuge and safety in times of danger. It was a place where people could go to find safety and protection from their enemies. In the same way, God is our fortified tower, a place of refuge and safety in the midst of life's storms.
When we face difficult and challenging circumstances, we can run to God as our place of safety. We can trust in His protection and find comfort in His presence. He is always with us, and He promises to never leave us or forsake us.
In Psalm 91, we read that those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We can take comfort in the fact that God is our shelter, our fortress, and our refuge. When we face trials and tribulations, we can run to Him and find safety in His arms.
As we go about our day-to-day lives, it's important to remember that we are not alone. We have a God who loves us and protects us. When we face difficulties, we can trust in His protection and find comfort in His presence.
So let us run to the name of the Lord, our fortified tower, and find safety and security in His loving arms. May we trust in His protection and rest in His peace, knowing that He is always with us and that He will never leave us or forsake us.
