So, I've been watching a documentary about quantum physics and I wanted to do something artistic with the concept. The idea of putting a research outpost of tiny proportions on an atom amused me (and will probably make it into the game I'm building), so here we are.
The process with which this piece was made was fairly typical for me, but I'll run through it anyway. I started by getting the text to image AI to generate a qunatum-looking background based on a wallpaper image I found online, but evolving and developing it. I then used this as the foundation for a digital collage featuring a foregrounded atom (generic image from the web) and a stylised tower (created with the A.I.). Having assembled the collage, I then gave it to the A.I. again to use as a base image, combined with a text prompt along the lines of 'baroque tower on an atom. Surreal background'. I did several versions of the same piece, but this is probably my favourite.
