This is a multi-purpose Alliance vessel, fashioned to appear as a runaway planet or else as a lusterless black sphere impenetrable to scanning.

The ship is able to capture stars and park them inside the ship's pocket universes, in order to release one of the stars later and then orbit it ; in this way, the ship can pretend to be a planet. When the ship is traveling in deep space, a force-field holds together the contents of the planet's surface, e.g., the lands, seas, atmosphere surrounding the ship and all the rest.This force-field lets in light from outside, but no one can see into the field ; the field also acts to block just about any surveillance or scanning technology from gathering data on the vessel.
