Tombstones outside churches remind me of the brevity of life and the importance of making the most of the time that we have been given. This simple marker serves as a reminder that our time on earth is limited, and that we must use our time wisely.
In James 4:14, we read, "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." This verse reminds us that our lives are short and fleeting, and that we cannot take our time on earth for granted.
When we see the tombstone outside the church, we are also reminded of the many people who have come before us and who have left this life with unfinished dreams and goals. This should serve as a motivation for us to live each day to the fullest, pursuing our dreams and making the most of the time that we have.
May we be motivated to live each day with passion, purpose, and a sense of urgency, making the most of the time that we have been given.
