So, I like to think I'm learning to collaborate better with the text to dream AI to get the best possible results out of it. This piece too a few different steps to acheive. I started by getting the text to dream to create a multicoloured crystal landscape with a nebula background. I then found several stock images of grandfather clocks and integrated them into an editable version of the image (my usual 'digital collage' approach). Finally I used THAT image as the base image for a final outing with the text-to-image AI, combining it with a more elaborate prompt. I made several different versions. In a few, the clocks turned out looking more like towers, when what I wanted was actual giant clocks looming over the landscape. This one came out the best and I'm really happy with it. It's a surreal image that the Text to Image AI couldn't have produced without a base image to work from but is also higher quality than anything I could have done with a digital collage alone. I'm really enjoying this new approach and hope to create more surreal landscapes using it.
