The Wizard of Mars 1965 - Four astronauts, Dorothy, Doc, Charlie, and Steve, crash land on Mars while taking readings of the Red Planet, after their orbiting spaceship is hit by an inexplicable, powerful electrical storm in space! Leaving the burning remains of the ship section they had escaped in, the crew is left with only a four day supply of oxygen. They must survive on the surface, long enough to reach the main stage of their downed craft. Barren except for canals that run from the polar cap, they have little choice but to raft upon near frozen water, toward their destination. Then, in the dead of night, they are attacked by huge maggot-like worms with fins! Seeking refuge in a vast underground cave system the canal feeds into, as they journey through the water carved rocks, though there is no sign of life, the feeling of being watched is unmistakable. Finding a way out of the cavern, on the surface they are astonished to see evidence of a lost civilization, a road made of golden bricks! Half-buried by the timeless sands of Mars, the Golden Road seems to lead them on. Yet, where will it take them... to a new beginning or the end?
