Tracy and Geri Jenkins were hired as a team when the last place news station in town decided their 20 years in the ratings basement needed a jolt. Tracy and Geri were married the previous year after graduating from Utah University where they met. They moved to a community in Oregon to begin their careers and were soon hired by their current employer in Northern California. Viewers were not accustomed to seeing a biological female wearing a traditional man's suit but Tracy (who identifies as non-binary) won people over with their energetic personality, sense of humor and rapport with their wife. Things clicked instantly and many viewers clicked over to Tracy and Geri for no other reason than they were damn good at their jobs. The network doesn't have as much money or resources as the other local affiliates but the two are beginning to grow their audience and change attitudes of those who weren't originally accepting of them in a coat and tie. The couple plans on adopting two children eventually, but for now their two dogs, two cats and newly made friends at the television station provide all the additional family they need.
