Diversity Saturday January 2024 - Overcoming losing a limb
Every 1st Saturday of the month, join dreamer's DDG “diversity” day, an initiative of Rec-off to make the world a better place.

She was only 13 when losing her arm & back in the water surfing a month later, quite a feat for such a young kid when being a teen can be so challenging with peer pressure and just growing up.

Though the dream shows her wearing a prosthesis, she does not wear one, since the remainder of her arm is so short, a prosthetic is only cosmetic - it had no functionality. She very seldom wears one at all.

NSSA National Championships in the women’s 18-and-under explorer division 2 years after losing her arm. (does NOT wear a prosthesis)
Now: Wife, mother, professional surfer, author & motivational speaker.
