As human beings, we were created to live in community and to support one another. This is especially true for those who seek to bring glory to God through their talents and gifts. Whether it's through music, art, or any other form of expression, we are called to use our abilities to honor God and spread His message of love and redemption.

A professional choir is a great example of this. Each member of the choir is undoubtedly talented in their own right, but without unity and cooperation, their performance would fall short. They must work together in harmony, blending their voices and skills to create a beautiful and cohesive sound.

The same is true for us as followers of Christ. We may have individual talents and strengths, but it is only through unity and cooperation that we can truly bring glory to God. In fact, Jesus Himself prayed for unity among His followers, saying in John 17:23, "May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."

Unfortunately, selfishness and pride can often get in the way of this unity. We may want to be recognized for our individual accomplishments or seek to advance our own agendas, rather than working together for the greater good. However, this type of thinking goes against God's call for us to love and serve one another.

As the apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 2:3-4, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."

So let us strive for unity in all that we do, recognizing and valuing the talents and gifts of others as well as our own. May we work together in selflessness and humility, always seeking to bring glory to God through our collective efforts. And may our lives be a testament to the love and grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
