ArtistFull-screen, strongly front-lit, macro-view watercolor of a large, rough canvas bag filled with dozens of ripe, red, shiny apples, spilling lazily out of the bag onto the formica tabletop. Behind the tabletop, we see a kitchen wall with an intricate, small, tile pattern in bright colors. The rich, ornate culinary tableau is strongly lit from the front and casts shadows on the many shiny, glassy tiles of the kitchen wall. The wall is rendered in blurry, spotty wet-on-wet speedpainted watercolor. The apples, the bag and the formica tabletop are deftly and painstakingly rendered in diaphanous watercolor with exquisite detail, with sketch outline tracings coming through. The aquarelle is painted all the way to the edges of the heavy, handmade rag paper. Prize-winning, museum quality biology aquarelle illustration in the style of Simonetta Occhipinti Pierre-Joseph Redouté, Jakob Demus, Hildegard Könighofer and Margareta Pertl as well as Siobhan Larkin.
A pile of ripe apples overflows from a cloth bag onto a kitchen countertop with decorative tiles in the background.
