My head is under siege day and night

At dusk I’m haunted by relentless demons

My slumber’s not safe anymore

For I dread to see the faces, hear the screaming voices

I dash in a frenzy, close every door

Yet they still catch up, chasing me to exhaustion

Even in a woken state the fear lingers on

I spot shadows everywhere, traces of the dark

The gloom follows me like a bad smell

My uncanny days are a living hell

In my delusional state I get a glimpse of an empty beach

While a ball of silent screaming skulls looms above

A life saving ship’s so near, I flee so fast

Ultimately I never reach a safe haven

Accept the truth I must

I lost my bearings and my mind

Banned in a never ending torment

In the infinity of my deranged, broken brain
