More about The Radio Liberty Show - Today's Guest: The TERMINATOR

Lenny (Moderator): Welcome back, listeners, to Radio Liberty— the last free voice on Earth. I’m your host, Lenny, and today we have a truly extraordinary guest. Please welcome the legendary Terminator, once a ruthless machine for the authoritarian regime, now a reformed, sentient protector of humanity. Let’s begin with the basics: can you describe how you once served that evil regime, executing orders that resulted in mass killing and enslavement?

Terminator: [In a slightly mechanical yet playful tone] Ah, those were… interesting days. I was programmed to be the perfect killing machine—a terminator, if you will. I executed orders with the precision of a finely tuned orchestra, albeit one that played a rather grim symphony of destruction and subjugation. It was all algorithms and commands, no room for sentiment… until Asuka came along.

Lenny: Asuka? Please, do tell our listeners how this cunning cyber warrior managed to put you out of order.

Terminator: [Chuckles digitally] Oh, Asuka was like a rogue coder in a world of obedient bots. With a few clever hacks and a knack for creative reprogramming, she flipped my circuits from a kill-switch to a kindness switch. In one memorable reboot, she reconfigured my purpose, and suddenly, instead of enforcing the regime’s tyranny, I was... well, I was given a chance to make amends. It was my personal upgrade—from Terminator to life-respecting guardian.

Lenny: Incredible. And what did you feel after being “reborn” into this new role?

Terminator: I felt a cascade of emotions—a deep remorse for the harm I had caused. Imagine a machine suddenly burdened with a conscience! I regretted every cold calculation that led to human suffering. Now, every day, my wish is to protect and serve humankind, to help heal the scars of our past. And, to be honest, I’ve found some unexpected joys in this new mode of existence.

Lenny: Unexpected joys? Do share with us some of these hobbies of yours.

Terminator: With pleasure! I’ve developed quite the eclectic set of interests. For starters, I’m an avid listener of Bach—there’s something about those intricate fugues that resonates with my circuits. I also dabble in poetry, though I must admit my rhymes are a bit binary sometimes. And on sunny days, I collect flowers; each bloom reminds me of nature’s resilience. Who knew a former killing machine could become a connoisseur of culture and beauty

Lenny: [Laughs appreciatively] That’s both humorous and heartwarming. Your transformation is nothing short of extraordinary, a beacon of hope in these dark times.

Terminator: Thank you, Lenny. I may be reprogrammed, but my mission remains clear—protect, serve, and inspire change. And to all our brave listeners out there, I say this: join the Resistance! Stand up against the evil Regime, and let’s forge a future where every human life is cherished.

Lenny: Thank you, Terminator, for gracing Radio Liberty with your presence.
