As we go about our daily lives in a big city, we come across countless faces, each with their own unique story. It can feel overwhelming to be just one of many in such a vast sea of people. But we can take comfort in knowing that even though we may not know everyone in the city, God knows each and every one of us.
In Psalm 139, David speaks of how God knows us intimately, from the moment of our conception to the day we take our last breath. He knows our thoughts, our actions, and our desires. He knows us better than we know ourselves.
In a world where it's easy to feel like an outlier or forgotten, the love of God reminds us that we are never alone. He sees us, knows us, and loves us unconditionally. And for those who have put their faith in Jesus, we can take comfort in knowing that we are known by God and will never be forgotten.
As we navigate the hustle and bustle of city life, may we take a moment to remember that we are not just a face in the crowd. We are known and loved by the Creator of the universe. And in that knowledge, we can find peace, comfort, and a sense of belonging that transcends the chaos of city life.
