REFERENCE IMAGES TO USE: CR-M1 – Morksik CR-M2 – Borstel CR-M4 – Hopsy CR-M17 – Eldren Chapter 30 – The First Journey That Never Began, Part 2 – The Thirteenth Place Create a cinematic 4:3 realistic painterly fantasy storybook illustration. Use the four supplied reference images as strict character references. Preserve their exact appearance, anatomy, proportions, clothing, colours and equipment. Do not redesign them. Scene: the mysterious circle of thirteen ancient standing stones beneath the silver sky. Morksik, Borstel, Hopsy and Eldren stand among the stones while a powerful magical event is taking place. The THIRTEENTH STONE is the visual centre. It stands upright and glows from a deep silver crack. Above several surrounding stones appear faint translucent magical reflections suggesting paired versions of the travellers. These are ghostlike memory-images only, not additional solid characters. Keep them subtle so the scene does not become crowded. Morksik stands beside one glowing stone and watches a faint translucent reflection of himself hovering above it. His expression is thoughtful and wary. Borstel must remain the small HEDGEHOG from CR-M2. He stands beside another stone with his staff, looking suspiciously at a faint ghostlike Borstel reflection. Hopsy must remain exactly the KANGAROO from CR-M4. He holds one glowing silver crescent-shaped stone half. A SECOND crescent-shaped half floats magically nearby, pulling toward the first but not yet touching it. His silver lantern remains visible. Eldren stands with his map unfolded. On the parchment is an eye-shaped magical mark labelled FIRST CHOICE, connected to a thin silver road leading away from the stone circle. IMPORTANT STORY MOMENT: beside the central thirteenth stone stand TWO mysterious human-like travellers. One wears a weathered grey travelling coat and carries a colourless lantern. The other wears an older dark travelling coat and carries an old lantern. They place one hand each upon opposite sides of the thirteenth stone. Above their hands, the TWO LANTERNS rise slightly and their lights begin merging into ONE warm GOLDEN LIGHT. Inside the glowing silver crack of the thirteenth stone, show a faint magical memory: silhouettes of twelve ancient travellers standing before a distant gate and a mysterious thirteenth figure beyond them. Keep this vision small, translucent and dreamlike. In the far background, the colossal branching silhouette from Part 1 remains partly hidden by silver clouds. Do not reveal its true form or show a giant eye yet. The pale grass, tiny white flowers and rolling empty hills should match the strange unfinished landscape of Part 1. Character accuracy is essential. Borstel clearly smallest. Hopsy unmistakably a kangaroo. Morksik and Eldren closely match their supplied references. Do not create solid duplicate versions of the four referenced characters; any doubles must appear only as faint translucent magical reflections. Mood: revelation, ancient memory, wonder and quiet danger. Silver magical light mixed with the warm golden lantern glow, soft volumetric illumination, realistic stone, fur and fabric textures, cinematic depth, realistic painterly fantasy storybook style. No combat, no modern objects, no title text, no speech bubbles, no decorative border. Bottom-right corner: small unobtrusive white full-body unicorn silhouette with exact text “AI by Unicorngraphics”.

Chapter 30 – The First Journey That Never Began Part 2 – The Thirteenth Place
“This time, thirteen may begin.” The voice faded across the hills. Borstel counted the stones. “There are thirteen places, but considerably more than thirteen of us.” Eldren’s map showed thirteen marks around the circle. Six began to glow, then another six. The thirteenth remained dark. Morksik understood. “It counts each pair as one.” His double nodded. “Six travellers.” Archivara looked toward the stranger. “And the witness.” The stranger stepped back. “I was never the witness.” The newcomer pointed toward the empty stone. “Not that witness.” The distant shape moved beneath the silver clouds. Three knocks sounded. The thirteenth stone answered with light. Archivara’s book wrote: THE FIRST WITNESS REMEMBERS THE JOURNEY BEFORE THE TRAVELLERS DO. “How can anyone remember something before it happens?” Borstel asked. “We have met places that remember things which never happened,” Morksik said. “I hoped we had finished with those.” The stranger stared toward the valley. “That was the warning. We were told the road already knew us.” “By whom?” Eldren asked. “I cannot remember.” The twelve leaning stones straightened one after another. The divided crescents in the Hopsys’ hands pulled toward the hollow in the thirteenth stone. Hopsy resisted. “You said not to join them.” “Not yet,” the newcomer replied. Silver light ran around the circle. Images appeared above six stones: Morksik and his double, Borstel and his, then Hopsy, Eldren, Archivara and Grimmeldorn with their counterparts. Above the thirteenth appeared the stranger and newcomer together. “It paired them too,” Borstel said. The stranger shook their head. “We were never one traveller.” Archivara’s book answered: YOU WERE ONE RETURN. The newcomer stared at the words. “The road divided the return between us.” The stranger touched their colourless lantern. “I carried the warning.” “And I carried the reason,” the newcomer said. Morksik understood. “That is why you forgot why you were warning everyone.” The stranger nodded. “It separated message from meaning.” The thirteenth stone cracked again. Inside its silver light appeared the distant valley. The enormous branching shape stood at its centre. Beneath it was a dark form too large to understand. Hopsy leaned closer. “The First Witness?” The image vanished. Archivara’s book wrote: THE WITNESS DOES NOT WATCH THE JOURNEY. THE JOURNEY IS WHAT IT WATCHES WITH. Borstel frowned. “Your book is being difficult again.” Eldren traced the new road on his map. “Perhaps the witness sees through travellers.” Grimmeldorn’s moss tightened around his arms. “Then it may already see through us.” Morksik stepped into the circle. His double entered opposite him. Their stone lit. A vision appeared between them. Morksik saw himself standing alone before the gate. He crossed and vanished.
