Prompt: Grief is not just an emotion—it’s an unraveling, a space where something once lived but is now gone. It carves through you, leaving a hollow ache where love once resided.
In the beginning, it feels unbearable, like a wound that will never close. But over time, the raw edges begin to mend. The pain softens, but the imprint remains—a quiet reminder of what once was. The truth is, you never truly "move on." You move with it. The love you had does not disappear; it transforms. It lingers in the echoes of laughter, in the warmth of old memories, in the silent moments where you still reach for what is no longer there. And that’s okay.
Grief is not a burden to be hidden. It is not a weakness to be ashamed of. It is the deepest proof that love existed, that something beautiful once touched your life. So let yourself feel it. Let yourself mourn. Let yourself remember.
There is no timeline, no “right” way to grieve. Some days will be heavy, and some will feel lighter. Some moments will bring unexpected waves of sadness, while others will fill you with gratitude for the love you were lucky enough to experience.
Honor your grief, for it is sacred. It is a testament to the depth of your heart. And in time, through the pain, you will find healing—not because you have forgotten, but because you have learned how to carry both love and loss together
Prompt: when there is a interesting story, artists become much more beautiful. I am 65 years old but have worked all my life with young people. That keeps your mind young in an old body. Wisdom is knowing that you never know enough and you begin to feel more like when you were a child and did not have the words to explain your feelings. Now I know the words and still cannot explain the feelings. That's why I draw

Prompt: “Do you love me?” Alice asked softly.
“No,” said the White Rabbit. “I don’t love you.”
Alice frowned and clasped her hands, the way she always did when she felt small and hurt.
“You see?” the Rabbit continued. “Now you’ll start wondering what’s wrong with you. Why you’re not enough. Why I can’t love you at least a little.”
He paused, then leaned in with eyes full of gentle wisdom.
“That’s why I can’t love you—not yet. Because love isn’t supposed to fill the holes inside you. If you don’t love yourself, even just a little, then every careless word, every misunderstanding, every grey day from someone else will cut deep like a blade.”
He looked at her kindly. “People hurt each other, Alice. Even the good ones. Not because they mean to, but because they’re tired or lost or struggling with something no one can see. That’s life. And you, my dear, must be strong enough not to crumble when it happens.”
Alice looked down, quiet.
The White Rabbit smiled. “The first time I saw you, I made a promise to myself. ‘I won’t love her until she learns to love herself.’ Because then, and only then, will your heart be safe—whether I’m here or not.”

Prompt: Zeker!
Prompt: A Rider at the Oval
A stranger rode into the hall of power,
a weary traveler from a battered land.
He came not to beg, but to stand,
bearing the weight of his people's sorrow.
Yet cruelty met him at the door,
words like stones, cold and sharp,
not from foes upon the battlefield,
but from hands once stretched in promise.
Oh, how the world watches in silence,
as dignity is trampled by arrogance.
But the rider will ride on,
for his people still stand.
And history will remember—
not the cruelty, not the insult,
but the unbroken spirit
of those who will not kneel
Prompt: It is a strange way to correct mankind if to much people have chosen a wrong path to follow. Free choice is a gift and a curse.
Following somebody, God or a human, out of fear for consequences isn't the right path. Acting as if your God and can decide what is right or wrong, and judge people, isn't the right path.
The only way is to live by example. It's hard to know if your on the right path. Therefore you must be connected to your true self or if you believe your soul.
Prompt: A man stands on the beach with a ball of sand in his hand. Kneaded from sand and water to save it for later. Once that sand was a large mountain formed by primal forces, which slowly wore away by air and wind. Transported by rivers, what was once a mass of sand came to a deserted beach. In the hands of the man the sand came together again to dream of a distant past kneaded into a story in the present. Just as a dream slowly slips away from your consciousness when you wake up, the ball of sand disappeared from the hand when it was hit by seawater.
Prompt: Like in a rollercoaster emotions go up and down. Sometimes you Don't feel anything. Only knowing that when you have been up, you will go down.
Ups become like drugs. Searching for activities to feel up. Or in fact your brain is so active there is no place for negative thoughts. You feel like good old days. Only the joy of having had a good time is not there anymore. Empty and tired again
Prompt: What can you do about world problems on your own. While I was doodling, this butterfly emerged. Butterflies are often colorful. In addition, they are part of the so-called butterfly effect. A flying butterfly can cause a hurricane on the other side of the world if it moves air at the right time. A kind of domino effect. If the first stone falls, the rest are doomed to fall. The moral of the story: no matter how small an action seems, you never know what movement will start. That is why the huiskamerartiest obediently continues to draw.
Prompt: This time the word WIJ (WE) emerged from the letter bag. We also assumes a them. The group you belong to and who you don't. Many people are not part of us, but neither are they them. They are anonymous people who sometimes come to our retina through a news report but then disappear again. Besides now that I mention it, who still thinks of the drowned boy on a beach or the girl who walks through the ruins in Syria, crying and wondering what they have done, that this is their fate.
Sometimes people also create a WE and THEM by using labels such as Dutch, ADHD, person with a migration background, and so on. We probably know a lot of them ourselves. It is then interesting to see which WE's you belong to.
In the distant past I once followed a training course where you were allowed to create your identity molecule. What was striking was that what you had to fight for, what you had to prove yourself for again and again, also emerged as the most important from your molecule. Everything that is stated in Article 1 of the Constitution in the Netherlands, anyway. At the time I was a middle-aged, well-educated white man with a steady job, straight and married. This turned out to give quite a few privileges. Through birth, some effort and a lot of luck, a fair part of your future is already positively determined. My drawing also resembles a molecule where the protrusions, like many chemical substances, produce all kinds of effects. The huiskamerartiest wonders what you had to fight for in your life and what a birth gift was?
