Prompt: There is nothing else like standing outside at night during a freeze. Everyone is huddled inside and there is no road noise and everything is frozen and the air is still and silent and smells are all peaceful and distant and… well, I love it so so much.
I know these freezes are dangerous and not good, and I hope everyone comes through ok, but whenever I hear one is coming, I smile. I can’t help but get excited about these few stolen moments when it feels like the world truly has stopped to catch its breath.
