Will the Mountains Fade Too?

• Model: Krea 2 Turbo

• Size: 1472 X 832 (1.22 MP)

• Used settings:

  • Prompt: (((Masterpiece))) sketchy and chaotic ink hatching with squiggly lines, textures of loose and irregular strokes, coloured with pastel watercolours and dirty aquarelle, splashing, blotting, scratching, splatter and overspray of colour on cold pressed rough paper. A serene and contemplative scene inspired by a rare sedōka poem from the Manyōshū, reflecting on the Buddhist theme of impermanence. A lone poet stands on a rocky shore at dusk, gazing out over a vast, restless sea. In the distance, ancient mountains rise against a fading sky, their slopes touched by the last light of day. The tide pulls back from the shore, leaving wet stones glistening, while dry riverbeds and cracked earth hint at the slow passing of all things. The sky is painted in soft, fading hues of gold, rose, and deepening blue, with thin clouds drifting like thoughts. The atmosphere is quiet, philosophical, and gently melancholic, capturing the poet's wonder: will even the seas and mountains wither and fade? Delicate but chaotic ink work defines the poet, the restless sea, the ancient mountains, the wet stones, and the fading sky, while loose watercolor washes in deep indigo, muted gold, soft grey, pale rose, and touches of soft white for sea foam and light highlights flow organically, with splatter, blotting, scratching, and overspray, creating texture, depth, and a grainy, grungy, ephemeral, contemplative and poetic atmosphere. Masterpiece, gorgeous, beautiful, evocative, sumptuous, aesthetic, unique, HD, enchanting, fuzzy, ephemeral, spectacular, dreamy and ethereal. Ultra fine texture of fine lines. 16:9.

Deus Ex Sphera

• Used settings:

  • Prompt: The image is highly detailed, and surreal artwork centered on a humanoid figure in a meditative pose, set against a backdrop of intricate clockwork and organic elements. The main subject is a pale, androgynous humanoid figure with closed eyes and a serene expression, facing forward. Its skin is smooth and appears almost porcelain-like. Her hands are perfectly formed in meditation, she wears flowing, off-white or light beige robes that drape over its body, suggesting a seated, cross-legged posture. The robes have large, structured lapels or collars that frame its face. A complex, crown-like headpiece made of intertwined branches like deer antlers and what appear to be small blue berries or beads adorns its head, extending upwards and outwards. Its neck is elongated and appears segmented or ribbed, with delicate strings or wires connecting it to the torso. In front of the figure, at waist level, is a large, clear glass sphere or orb, intricately designed with internal metallic or wooden spokes and gears, resembling a complex scientific instrument or a miniature world. This orb is held by a decorative, bronzed stand that seems to emerge from the figure's lap. The background is dominated by a massive glass sphere revealing a luminous cosmic interior: swirling nebulae, star clusters, and prismatic light radiating outward like a living mindscape within the sphere, encased in a bronze or aged gold frame. This sphere serves as a halo or backdrop for the figure's head. Surrounding the sphere and the figure's head are numerous barren, twisted branches, some intertwined with blue foliage or berries, creating a natural yet somewhat desolate atmosphere. Several small, vibrant detailed realistic blue birds are perched on these branches, adding a touch of life and color. Thin wires or tendrils extend from various parts of the background and the figure, adding to the intricate, almost steampunk-like aesthetic. The dominant colors are muted and earthy, primarily off-white, various shades of brown, beige, turquoise and bronze, giving the image an aged and timeless feel. Accents of light blue and teal are present in the birds, the blue berries/foliage, and the central eye of the upper sphere, providing contrasts. The glass orb in front of the figure also reflects a cool blue hue. The lighting is soft and diffused, highlighting the textures and details without harsh shadows. It appears to come from above and slightly to the front, casting gentle illumination on the figure's face and the intricate elements. The overall effect is ethereal and contemplative. The composition is symmetrical and centered, drawing the viewer's eye directly to the figure. The verticality of the figure and the clock emphasizes height and grandeur. The intricate details are balanced, preventing the image from feeling cluttered despite its complexity. The mood and atmosphere are serene, mystical, and somewhat melancholic. There's a sense of ancient wisdom, timelessness, and perhaps a connection between nature and mechanics. The closed eyes of the figure suggest introspection or a trance-like state, contributing to the ethereal quality. The overall scene evokes a blend of fantasy, steampunk, and classical sculpture.

The color palette remains realistic cartoon shading. Choices on the Path

  • Prompt: Budhist perspective : The middle way. During his speeches and sermons did the Buddha say if life has a meaning/purpose, that "The instinct of survival fools us into thinking that existence has a meaning.Since nihilism is anti-survival, we create meaning and purpose for life to insure survival."??! ---------- The Buddha’s teachings address this exact tension between the instinct to survive and the search for ultimate meaning. He did not teach that life has an inherent, cosmic "purpose" assigned to us by a creator. Instead, he aligned closely with the idea that the survival instinct—which he called Taṇhā (craving)—fools us into a cycle of creating false meanings just to keep going. However, his final conclusion was not nihilism; he offered a third path. Here is how the Buddha broke down survival, meaning, and existence across his sermons: ## 1. The Survival Instinct Fools Us (Taṇhā and Bhava) The Buddha taught that the strongest force in sentient beings is the will to live and continue existing (bhava-taṇhā). * The Illusion: This driving instinct forces the mind to construct identities, goals, and attachments to justify its own continuation. * The Trap: We create concepts of "me," "my purpose," and permanent happiness to feel secure. The Buddha called this an illusion (moha). Because everything in the universe changes (anicca), trying to find lasting meaning in physical existence or survival is like trying to build a house on moving sand. ## 2. Is the Buddha's View Nihilism? You noted that nihilism is anti-survival. In the Buddha’s time, a philosophy called Natthikavāda (nihilism/annihilationism) existed, which claimed that life is entirely meaningless, actions have no consequences, and everything ends at death. The Buddha explicitly rejected nihilism. He called it an extreme and dangerous view. He argued that: * Strict Nihilism leads to mental paralysis, despair, or immoral behavior, because "nothing matters." * Strict Eternalism (the belief that life has a permanent, god-given purpose or soul) leads to obsessive attachment and fear of death. ## 3. The Buddha’s Alternative: The Middle Way The Buddha bypassed both survival-driven delusions and anti-survival nihilism by offering The Middle Way. Instead of asking, "What is the cosmic meaning of life?" the Buddha asked a practical question: "Why do we suffer, and how do we stop it?" To the Buddha, the purpose of life is not to invent a fake meaning to ensure survival. The purpose of life is to wake up from the survival loop entirely. * The Goal is Liberation (Nirvana): True peace is found when you stop trying to fuel the survival instinct (Taṇhā). When craving stops, the anxiety of searching for meaning disappears. * Functional Meaning: While life has no built-in cosmic purpose, we can give it a highly effective functional purpose: using our existence as a vehicle to cultivate wisdom, kindness, and mental freedom. ## In Summary The Buddha would agree with your premise that the instinct to survive creates attachments and illusions of meaning. However, his solution to this trap was not to collapse into nihilism. His solution was to see through the illusion clearly, train the mind, and attain Nirvana—a state of peace that exists completely outside the biological loop of survival and death. #buddha #buddhism #awakening #enlightenment NO TEXT IN PICTURE.
