Prompt: Benoit Mandelbrot showed that many natural structures - branching trees, lungs, river networks, coastlines, clouds - really are "self-similar", meaning the part resembles the whole. The Fibonacci spirals in plants are genuinely explained by how new buds pack themselves around the growing tip at the "golden angle", the arrangement that wastes the least space.
However, natural fractals are only statistically self-similar - not every piece fits - and only across a limited range of scales - typically just a few orders of magnitude. A mathematical fractals repeat to infinity, real fractals are often limited by possibilities and laws of our physical world. So when I say I started to see that "our entire existence as a fractal structure", it is of course more metaphorical way of seeing. Yes, I began to perceive existence as infinite diversity in infinite combinations, emerging from a finite set of simple forms. But understand it as a metaphorical lens not as bulletproof truth…
By the way, this way of seeing world is much older than Mandelbrot's fractals. Huayan Buddhists described it some 1,400 years ago as Indra's Net - an infinite net with a jewel at every knot, each jewel reflecting all the other jewels, and all their reflections, endlessly. I find it telling that when I needed an honest ancestor for my fractal vision, the best one turned out to be an openly poetic metaphor, not a pseudo-scientific theory. Dream Level: is increased each time when you "Go Deeper" into the dream. Each new level is harder to achieve and
takes more iterations than the one before.
Rare Deep Dream: is any dream which went deeper than level 6.
Deep Dream
You cannot go deeper into someone else's dream. You must create your own.
Deep Dream
Currently going deeper is available only for Deep Dreams.
