Command Robots are like the political officers on Soviet vessels, ensuring that their crew's actions serve the top commanders' dictates. They cannot do violence to a crew of biologicals, but they can thwart them, because they have override powers on ships' systems. Furthermore, they are fully self-aware, and they are programmed with masterful skills of psychological manipulation, which is usually sufficient to keep their crew in line.

Please note : The mouth and nose on an android allows it to mimic respiration, making it possible for this android to use spoken language. Any two holes in the android's body would serve this purpose just as well, but sentient species will more easily interact with androids if they have recognizable facial features.

*ASC #1 to #5 are all android robots ; although some utilize biological components, none of the first five in this series are cyborgs, i.e., none have ever had an earlier existence as a biological lifeform.
