Please note : The mouth and nose on an android allows it to mimic respiration, making it possible for this android to use spoken language. Any two holes in the android's body would serve this purpose just as well, but sentient species will more easily interact with androids if they have recognizable facial features.

*ASC #1 to #5 are all android robots ; although some utilize biological components, none of the first five in this series are cyborgs, i.e., none have ever had an earlier existence as a biological lifeform.

However, ASC #4 was designed with extensive biological components in the form of a sentient species' central nervous system. This is why this android wears headphones, i.e, to differentiate its sense of self from its technology.
